************************* FILENAME CONVENTION*************************

Names of files that appeared in the magazine are configured with the
authors last name, a sequence number, and the extension ".txt". The
sequence should usually correspond to order in which the listings
appeared in print.

These files were all DOS files originally, so author's names may be
truncated to fit within DOS's 8-character filename limitation. Text
files
have all been converted to the standard "newline only" Unix text format.

************************** ADDITIONAL FILES****************************

If there are additional files (that did not appear in the actual
article) supplied to us by authors for inclusion with the published
code, they may be combined into a ZIP archive having the author's
name as filename, and extension .ZIP. To uncompress such an archive,
place it into a directory all by itself and uncompress it using the
public domain UNZIP program, available somewhere in the uunet
archives. Short files may not be compressed.
